Don't Worry, That's Not My Leg

posted by TsuDhoNimh, Apr 8, 2008 6:29 PM — 0 comments

For the curious: it WAS a skier. It happened in the parking lot on the way back to the car, after skiing was over. There was a patch of ice, one foot slipped and the leg that broke didn't slip to match.

This is the classic break from a simultaneous fall and twisting movement ... either the knee will be dislocated or the bones break.

Hardware is maybe permanent, the screws may be removed ... I don't know what will happen after this. But if the patient gets x-rays, I'll upload them.
