BREAKING NEWS — Unbelievable! We have just reached the 400,000 image mark on SXC! Thank you very much to all the people who keep sharing their fantastic pictures to feed the image hungry crowds! The contribution you are making to the online community is invaluable. You are helping out thousands of small businesses and individuals who have to work on a tiny budget.
The uploader of the 400,000th image, a picture of a construction site is Michal Zacharzewski, a.k.a. mzacha from Poland. Michal has been with us since 2004, he shoots with an Olympus C740UZ camera and has uploaded over 1800 pics in the last 5 years. Having many great isolated series in his gallery such as this, this or this earned him the prestigious 9th place on the list of the most downloaded contributors of all time.

Oops, my fault. When I click submit, I see the special offer price, nice :). Let's get some credits. SXC is free and hight quality, but the xpert has more 'clean' pictures.
So up to the 1 million. Great site, great pictures. Keep up the good work.

I love this website, could not live without it. I do think you are doing a great job but maybe its time to sell a little adverting space so you can spend more money on your servers. I don’t like advertising but if it does not get in my way I don’t mind and you will be able to fund servers upgrades.
