Try GIMP 2.2 for that retouching of your images
posted by malachite1, Feb 15, 2006 9:21 AM — 3 commentsHi there to all users.
It seems almost impossible but there is a alternative to Photoshop.
I use the totally free GNU Imaging Manipulation Program short“ GIMP" to get rid of noise and unwanted effects that take place when photographing stainless steel or white balanced photos.
You will find it under http://www.gimp.org/windows/
just download the zip file and extract then run the installer and off you go.
Read the documentation, this is very useful as the program runs like a typical GNU Unconventional Application.
Keep your eyes peeled and the finger on that trigger, You never know when that once in a life time opportunity reveals itself.
Best regards

It takes a bit getting use to... but well worth it, considering you're saving a few hundred $!!!
Mal, Love your photos, keep it up!
Thank you for sharing them.
I hope to post in the near future.

Hi, I'm setting up a new website for linking up families/carers of people with disabilities and want to use your photo: Family tickling each other on one of the pages (It would be the photo that accompanies the "Families Journeys" page. Would you permit that?
Many thanks!
