Things Im learning
posted by jynmeyer, Dec 8, 2005 6:53 PM — 16 commentsI decided to read the manual for my camera, last night. Wow.
So many things I didnt know. Like, that plastic peice on my strap? It's for covering the eyepice in timed and remote shots. Apparently light coming through the eyepeice can throw off exposure.
Who would have thunk?
Go ahead, take out that manual or search online for your camera brand. It's sure to bring some newinformation to how you shoot. ;-)

1. posted by matchstick, Dec 8, 2005 8:05 PMI knew that the plastic thing was to cover the eyepiece, but ill be damned if i can get the thing on. I swear, it has been made specifically for me NOT to put it on! I followed the instructions in the manual, and it just WONT clip!
lol
but yeah. reading manuals is good. I usually do it *after* i play with the toy though :D

You HAVE to play with it first, Martin, otherwise you are at a complete loss. I had a photographer fiddle around with my camera, all the while thinking, "dude, its my camera, I know everything!" But I didn't, he turned around and showed me a bunch of stuff. I felt kinda stupid and low... but HEY! I got to hang around with a photographer =-D.

Hi, I'm setting up a new website for linking up families/carers of people with disabilities and want to use your photo: Family tickling each other on one of the pages (It would be the photo that accompanies the "Families Journeys" page. Would you permit that?
Many thanks!
