Im a keen photographer myself (casstrix) and absolutely love the canvas process. Looks especially well-wicked for Black and White images - when using a coarse garde canvas. Colours looks good as well on a gloss finish canvas. The process isnt cheap - but comparable to getting a photo print blown up and framed to similar size.

Haven't printed any myself but I'm told the best process is one called 'giclee'. Can be used for photos or fine art & is aparently very high quality & can be printed onto a variety of media.

Yes canvas prints very nice!
I run an online business in Melbourne Australia using Epson 7800 and 9800 Pro Graphic printers - www.fotopix.com.au
The main issue I find with other people printing canvas is that they usually use a cheap canvas which cracks when stretched, or little bits flake off during or shortly after the printing process.
I only use ILFORD canvas, not cheap but simply the best! There is no need to finish the canvas with a sealer etc.. just a nice matte canvas finish ready to hang (no sheen left from a sealer).
Since changing to ILFORD my business has gone through the roof, and I have had many customers come my way after getting jobs done on cheaper canvas products from others...I hope they continue my business is booming!
It still amazes me that people out there go off and use cheap canvas when at the end of the day your paying for a quality job.
I am happy to send you a FREE 12x16" Sample to prove my point - email me at: sales@fotopix.com.au
