Photographing a baby

posted by ytchew, Dec 3, 2006 3:42 PM — 2 comments

It wasn't easy to photograph a baby. In my case, Baby Zoe took some time to warm up to me. Before that, she was all poker-face like. After that, she was all gurgle and smiles. Check out some of the pics here.

Shooting a B&B

posted by ytchew, Nov 19, 2006 11:35 AM — 4 comments

Was commissioned to shoot the interiors of a bed and breakfast today. It was a fun shoot - used only two lenses - the 18-55mm and 50mm Nikkor. Also did some food shots for their menu. The best thing about food photography is, you get to eat the spoils (provided it's not done up by the food stylists) :)

Check the pics here .

A Wedding at the Chapel

posted by ytchew, Oct 7, 2006 9:15 AM — 2 comments

Took some pics at a friend's wedding in a quaint looking chapel this morning. I wished I had two camera bodies so that I wouldn't have to keep changing lenses and missing some unexpected precious moments!

50mm for Nightshots

posted by ytchew, Sep 30, 2006 6:52 PM — 2 comments

The Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens is a fantastic piece of tool. I used it for some casual night photography around a church compound and the colors rendered are just brilliant. No flash was used.

My friend Sharon could not find good stock photos of cocoons in the precise angle that she wants. So, she decided to make a cocoon from scratch for our photo project.

Check the story here. :)

Pre-wedding shoot

Nowadays, couples prefer candid outdoor shots rather than posey studio ones. Had my first pre-wedding photo shoot with a fun couple.

Check out the results here.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your photos.

I'm creating a website for my new B'n'B in the Czech Republic and am considering using your bike photo as an inspiration image for what activities the guests can engage in.

However, the image is too small. I need at least 3Mb for my graphic designer to be able to work with it. Is it possible to obtain a good quality high resolution image?

Thank you,

Smidulenka
