 1. Oct 24, 2009 2:35 AM jkingsbeer | Hey guys, I'm back! Its been a while since I have been there but be assured that I have been VERY busy and will be uploading a ton of new images soon! So far I have heard that sxc has been sold to Getty and I am surprised that the last one to post wins and the 4 letter words threads are still going, I have fantastic memories and I hope to join in again soon! While I have been gone I have upgraded my camera gear VERY heavily, been featured on New Zealand's most popular Morning TV show and have been attending seminars about marketing and have also visited New Zealand's largest professional photo lab! I have also been viewing videos from a good friend of mine Louis Pang who is one of Malaysia's best wedding and portrait photographer with an amazing studio! A project that Louis has been working on for a long time now is Wedshooter.tv and that is where I have been viewing his videos, At the moment he has about 6 videos online and they are all available to view with a free trial! I think it is absolutely fantastic that we have a great guy like Louis sharing his valuable knowledge, this site has already benefited me and I hope it will to you too! That is, many of the people who know you. wierdvis was banned for telling someone to get a life. Good to hear you're moving along so well, and I hope you have lots of success either here or in other photographic venues. |

We did get off to a rocky start, but we are moving forward and trying to get things back business. @ 3: I believe it was you who took issue with discussing wierdvis in the forums since she was not here to defend herself. Perhaps you should consider not raising the subject if that is how you feel. Since you brought it up ... Her account was closed because she made it quite clear that she was no longer invested in the future of this site nor in being respectful to her peers after weeks of hostile, disrespectful and antagonizing posts. She was given ample room to vent and move on. She chose her own fate. For the record, her account is the only one that was closed. The posted Forum Usage Guidelines (that predate the change in ownership) make the expectations for behavior quite clear: http://www.sxc.hu/forums/topic/12788 "Our Code of Conduct basically says to treat others with respect, and you will be treated with respect. If you go out of your way to cause trouble, we will take appropriate action." @ 4: The person wierdvis told to get a life was another long standing member of SXC who simply had the nerve not to be scared by her bullying rhetoric. I'm quite certain that member has a fine life so put your concern to rest. |
