"This is a great idea, though I would suggest that you angle the lighting from above rather than below for more contrast in tone, and angle the hand more obtusely to the camera (so it will be quickly recognizable as a hand). You may have to lower the camera angle to get it. Hope you don't mind some friendly crit :)"
