"ahh ... so that's what it is :) i heard those are quite tasty :) might have to try one sometime! ( not too shabby with a pocket knife, but i can wear gloves lol)"

"tasty yes, but unless you have well-calloused fingers, or are agile with a pocket knife, it's very difficult to get to the good stuff without ending up with a handful of cactus prickers."

"because of its moderate climate, this cactus can be found in canada... yes... canada - in point pelee national park (ontario)...
i wonder if the park wardens there would let me eat the fruit? i did not know this when i was at the park... i guess i will just have to continue to eat donuts..."
