Hi, I'm Helen South, the About.com guide to Drawing/Sketching. I always try to use only creative commons commercial licensed images, and request permission when indicated (or even if not indicated but I'm using several of the photographer's works). I like to properly credit photographers and provide links to websites if possible.

I use both free and bought images as references for drawing for myself and my readers, though as a freelancer I need to keep costs down, so the generosity of SXC contributors is invaluable.
